Illegal immigration
is the act where the immigrants are living in the country without getting permission from the government. The main cause for illegal immigration is producing illegal documents to the government. The attorneys are taking the effort to enforce the paper requirements to be legal for immigrants. Generally through this illegal immigration, the children will be suffered a lot. The issues of those children’s are social, political, and moral and economic. But the education is the largest issue for the llegal immigration community.

Arizona immigration law SB1070 is producing the shelters with food and beds and it is used to send the human rights to observe the border crossings of the states. It allows the law enforcement agencies to deport the individual from the U.S The issues of Arizona state S.B. 1070 involves, state rights, civil rights, constitutional law state immigration policy etc.

According to the Arizona immigration law SB1070 , a person who is traveling in this state is considered as an illegal immigrant under the following circumstances. The individual enters the state or country without getting an approval or permission from the immigration officers. If he refused to attend exam, which is conducted by the authorities or if he produces false documents to the immigration offices.

Under such circumstances, Illegal immigration is considered as an illegal activity. Many of the illegal immigrants produce false documents and enter into a various country and while inspection they all been caught to the respected authorities. The illegal immigrants cannot undergo any medical examination if also he experiences any illness. There are some implications of Arizona immigration law sb1070.Racial profiling is the major problem which arises among Hispanics, and another one is national immigration policies.

This is a misconception of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution that contributions United States citizenship on those born on American soil, comprising children of illegal aliens. The equal protection clause in the constitution gives protection for the illegal immigrants and it stops any law that denies civil rights to any human being.

Illegal immigrants know that the odds are squat that United States immigration authorities will extradite them, if they have a child who is an American citizen. Arizona immigration is not seemed to break any new ground of civil liberties groups. The sb1070 Arizona Immigration Law was signed by Arizona Governor, on April 23rd 2010;and 90 days later it became legally enforceable.

Federal immigration policy will support the Arizona law for the dealing of illegal immigration law. The specialty of this law is, it will show the culprit and try to suspect the illegal immigrant of the nation. The police can contact federal agencies to prove a person’s identity if he is an illegal immigrant.

Many Americans believe that liberals are the reason why our country has progressed so much since it’s inception. Generally speaking, conservatives prefer to keep things the way they are. They are less open to change and believe in the status quo. It could be that the liberal’s political stance is what makes this country so free and full of opportunity. Liberal political views are simple and easy to understand. The definition of the word liberal suggests that it means not limited to any type of view, so all that really means is that liberals are not subjected to one type of thought, which many believe is how our country should run. When it comes to political stance, liberals do not believe that the country should be tied down to run in one particular way. Some people believe that running a country in a strictly conservative way is dangerous. If the people of a country are changing and progressing mentally and physically, shouldn’t the country be changing with it? Our society is not the same as it was 100 years ago or even 20 years ago. Therefore, our laws should reflect that.

When it comes to the economy, liberals believe in regulation. This is not a political stance that suggests no American should enjoy success, like some conservatives claim. Instead liberals have political views that banks and investors should not be able to do whatever they want with other people’s money. A lot of economists say that it was the lack of regulation that got us into the mess that we are in right now. Conservatives believe that we should have completely free markets. Now that we are in a recession due to the lack of regulation, they are not suggesting we change anything. This might be why our last republican president came into office with a surplus and left with a deficit. Maybe the liberal political views on the economy should be taken into better consideration.

It is unclear why conservative’s political views seem to be close minded during a time of uncertainty. If the methods you believe in are not working, maybe it is time to start questioning your political stance. Liberals generally believe in trying different methods to solve problems and they are open to new ideas. It does not make sense to many liberals that people political stance limit them to certain ideas in terms of policy. We have come a long way since the founding fathers created our government. Liberals believe that they have similar political views as the fathers of this country.

It has become very clear to most Americans that the big banks are the reason our economy is suffering so badly right now. The body politic does not agree with the politics of the bank even as the government has encouraged them to change their ways. Over the past thirty years the banks have become increasingly deregulated allowing them to take risks with the public’s money. The recent housing bubble that burst was started essentially because big banks were making bets on their bets dealing with mortgages. This was rather easy to get away with because the body politic did not understand what they were doing. Since the housing bubble burst at the end of 2007, our elected officials have been scrambling to try to figure out what to do. Unfortunately, politics got in the way and the problem has yet to be solved. As of now, no new regulations have been placed on the banks. This means the actions they took that got us into this mess are still perfectly legal.

At a time when our economy is not too far from where it was during the great depression, we need to put politics aside. The body politic wants our elected officials to come together to come up with a comprehensive solution. Giving tax cuts to the middle class and creating jobs will definitely help our situation but we need to make sure that there are rules in place to prevent the same thing from happening again. When liberals talk about creating new regulations for bankers, it seems like a reasonable plan. However, politics get involved when conservatives claim that regulations mean liberals are against American businesses succeeding. The body politic needs to somehow make it clear that by not changing the rules, you are not doing anything to prevent the same thing from happening. The politics that have surrounded the republican party since President Obama took office are out of hand. Enough is enough.

In an age where instant communication is the norm, the American people need to motivate and spread the message of what we want our elected officials to do. We elect individuals to solve our problems. They are not doing their job if they are just saying no to every proposed piece of legislation, especially financial reform. If they disagree with the President, they should submit an alternative suggestion. The last president was republican. He came into office with a record surplus and left office with a record deficit. Now that a democratic president is in office they are all of a sudden financial wizards who are able to point fingers and claim to know how to fix the economy without making any suggestions.

The Fox News Channel is a political news channel that has been around since the end of 1996. It was created and owned by Rupert Murdoch. From the beginning it was clear to most people that they reported the news through a conservative lens. Since liberals have multiple news channels dedicated to their point of view, it seemed only fair that the conservatives had a political news channel of their own. Most news outlets whether television, newspapers, magazines or websites, have some sort of biased but in recent years many suggest that Fox News has crossed the line.

•	What frustrates most of it’s critics is that their slogan is “fair and balanced”. An online documentary called “Outfoxed” showcases the increase of dishonest news and ignorance to the truth over the years since it’s inception by interviewing past employees of the political channel and showing memos that suggested which talking points to use during the coarse of each day.

•	Fox News channel’s most popular hosts are Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly. Each of these men host an hour of television a day and seem to stick to only the conservative point of view. Many critics claim to have proven that all three of these men have blatantly lied to their viewers multiple times. A popular website “mediamatter.org” lists many examples of conservatives either lying or being dishonest on a daily basis and Fox News hosts and contributors are frequently used as examples.

•	The political news channel attacks the current democratic president every chance it gets. Some of the political hosts have been called out on liberal shows, such as Countdown with Keith Olbermann and The Rachel Maddow Show on clipping and paraphrasing some of President Obama’s quotes in order to make him look weak or unintelligent. They have been accused of miss representing polls and even pictures. The day after one of the new extreme conservative Tea Party’s rallies, Fox News showed pictures and video of a massive crowd, claiming that the rally had an excellent turn out. The next night, Keith Olbermann showed that the video was from a different event that had happened months prior and had no association to the tea party.

There is nothing wrong with having a conservative political point of view. However, it seems that there are many who have conservative political views that think they are entitled to their own facts. Some liberals see Fox’s political news as dangerous. The political climate right now is growing passed typical political debate and moving towards racism and anarchy. Many have been pictured and video taped at tea party rally holding signs with President Obama’s face made to look like The Joker from Batman or with a Hitler mustache reading “Obama is a socialist” or “Say No to ObamaCare”. These political demonstrations are not healthy for the political debate and political news channels should not be covering it.

Although political debates have always involved political theater, it seems as though that’s all of today’s political debate consists of. The majority of the democratic party is trying to have an honest political debate about how to solve our nation’s problems, but the republican party would rather just say no and resort to name calling and point fingers instead. The health care political debate is one of the best examples of just how bi-partisan the republican party has become. There arguments have contained mostly lies and accusations about the democratic president’s intent. There have been many instances where President Obama has taken some of their ideas and used them in bills. This happened with health care and economic reform as well as legislation for job creation. Since going along with this would mean that they are siding with the president, they choose to attack the president on using their own ideas. The political debates of today are lacking substance and this needs to change if we are going to fix our nation’s problems.

•	The health care political debates has brought out the worst in some our country’s elected officials. Covering our citizens with quality affordable health insurance is an issue that must happen soon and be taken seriously. Instead the political debate that took place during the coarse of President Obama’s first year in office made a mockery of what it is the most important issue to many Americans. President Obama asked both houses of congress to get together and come up with the best ways to provide the most Americans with quality health insurance, while keeping costs down and eliminating discrimination that many health insurance companies practice. Many political debates were held. However, almost none of those political debates were productive. The democratic party came up with the solution in which the government would provide an alternative health insurance option. This would not only create competition, but it would also force the insurance companies to improve their care and lower their premiums. It is a simple concept, if insurance companies did not improve care or lower costs, the American people would use the government option. This concept is not complicated and although details would have to be worked out, the overall plan makes sense. The republican party immediately started calling President Obama and the democratic party “socialists” claiming they just wanted to grow government. This is what was repeated over and over during the political debates. Many democrats in response would suggest that if they did not think the government option was a good plan, then provide an alternative. No republican alternative was ever given.

The political debate over health care needs some serious substance and it needs it quickly. Americans are loosing their homes and their lives due to the flaws of our system. We are one the most advanced countries in the world, yet we cannot provide quality care to our citizens. If the republicans are against the proposed plan, they should suggest an alternative. Currently, the republican leaders have been on record saying that they will only contribute to the debate if the administration is willing to start over. Not many people see the benefit in doing that. The president has and continues to welcome any ideas that accomplish the goal of covering as many Americans as possible while lowering costs and improving care. It is situations like this that show how corrupt some of our politicians can be. Many of them receive large amounts of money from health insurance companies to help run their campaigns and they are not willing to end that relationship

In today’s fast paced society with many ways to communicate instantly, it seems that the most important political issue changes all the time. Many would suggest that this is due to the media who can basically tell the American people what they think is important or what they believe. With our country going through such a tough time, the top political issues are almost expected to change because there is not just one issue that the country is worried about. The political issues of today are important problems that we need our elected officials to start taking more seriously. Photo opportunities and sound bites do not matter, action and progress is what the American people need right now.

•	During most of the 2008 presidential race, the economy was the top priority to most Americans. Our economy was in a recession. The worst one since the great depression. Then democratic nominee Barack Obama proposed regulation of the markets in order to stop big bankers from taking the risks that they were taking with other people’s money. Meanwhile John McCain claimed that the essential elements of our economy were strong right before some of the biggest banks in the world declared they were bankrupt. The economic political issue was sure to continue because economic problems cannot be solved over night. Any type of suggested solution would take many months or possibly years in order to fix our current problem. Until the economy starts growing by restoring consumer confidence and making it possible for the banks to start lending again, this will remain among the top political issues.

•	For most of 2009, the number one political issue was health care reform. Every news channel featured debates on the topic and spoke to what they thought was the best way to get reform passed or blocked. Democrats tried vigorously to get reform passed while republicans did everything in their power to stop any bill from getting to President Obama’s desk. The problem is that republicans see health care reform as a political issue while the majority of the country sees it as a top American priority. Last week, a health insurance company in California announced that it would raise their member’s premiums by almost forty percent. That is just one example of why conservatives need to join the debate and make progress so that citizens of this great country can afford good quality health care.

•	Since the election of republican senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts, conservatives tried to
translate his victory as a message that the American people do not want health care reform. As if to say that all of the Americans who do not have health insurance because they can’t afford it and all the families that have gone bankrupt due to outrageous medical bills suddenly do not care about health care reform anymore. So once again the top political issue changed to job creation. Creating more jobs has always been a priority but now it is the top priority of the current administration. President Barack Obama is urging congress to act quickly on getting a jobs bill on his desk as soon as possible. However, once again the republican party is making this a political issue instead of a important priority by rejecting the democrats methods to create jobs.

The problems that the House and Senate are trying to solve are issues that directly affect the American people. Instead of treating them as such, politicians have made them political issues in order to gain political points. Political issues are constantly changing because as soon as an elected official realizes that the matter is effecting him or her in a negative way, they will move on to a different topic.

Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign was arguably one of the best political campaigns in history. Our country was involved in two wars and we were facing the biggest recession since the great depression. Still, his political campaign stayed focused and continued promoting his message while the opposing political campaign choose to use personal attacks instead of debating policy and current events. Political campaigns often choose to take the negative route by trying to destroy the opposing candidate’s image. It is unfortunate that these tactics often work.

•	Running a political campaign is not an easy task. Barack Obama’s chief strategist David Axelrod did a phenomenal job at running the campaign and now serves as the senior advisor to President Obama. His hard work and intelligence helped Barack Obama become a senator and now President of the United States. He was an advocate for honesty and sticky to the facts which Barack Obama also believed. This could be why many of the republican attacks on the current administration seem to go unnoticed by the President and his cabinet.

•	The 2008 Presidential race involved two political campaigns that seemed to be polar opposites. The democratic nominee Barack Obama often seemed to be calm, cool and collect most of the time which helped him win over many independent voters who were not interested in partisan bickering. The republican nominee John McCain was usually trying to attack Obama personally instead of talking about what was wrong with the country. This had him on the defense the majority of the time because many Americans were unsure of what he stood for. Each political campaign has a choice, either promote the candidate’s proposed policy and explain why they are the best candidate for the job or resort to political theater with name calling and untruthful accusations. Barack Obama’s political team chose to stick to the former. While the McCain campaign was trying to convince the public he surrounded himself with racists, anarchists and terrorists, Obama chose to talk about the economy and how his administration will fix it. When McCain attempted to make Obama look weak by saying he didn’t have any experience, Obama told the American citizens how he will put them back to work and how he will reform our country’s health care system. If you are talking about the other candidate, you are not talking about our country’s issues. Most voters want to know why you are the best candidate and they do not care what you think about your opponent’s personal life. Barack Obama knew this from the start of his political campaign in February of 2007. John McCain’s campaign never really figured that out until it was too late.

Regardless of who you voted for in November of 2008, you cannot deny the success of Barack Obama’s campaign. It ran smoothly for the majority of the time and whenever there were any bumps in the road, the campaign stayed focused and got back on track and on the offense as quickly as possible. All future political campaigns can learn from Obama’s. His campaign will most likely be an ideal model for all presidential campaigns. Political campaigns are a long grueling process and showcase the best and the worst in every candidate involved with one.

Television’s political forums of today can be extremely biased. The liberals have the majority of news stations in their favor such as NBC, MSNBC, CBS and CNN which is probably the most balanced but still tends to lean towards the democrat’s point of view the majority of the time. The major political forum for conservatives is Fox News and while they claim to be “Fair and balanced”, many Americans believe they are anything but fair and balanced. The most popular political forums on television are the night time shows such as Countdown with Keith Olbermann, The Rachel Maddow Show, 360 with Anderson Cooper, The Sean Hannity Show and The O’Reilly Factor just to name a few. These shows are political forums in which each host invite guests on their show who either strongly represent their opinion or are weak representatives of the opposing side.

•	The most popular televised political forum for liberals is the MSNBC news channel. The two shows that include the strongest messages are Countdown with Keith Olbermann and The Rachel Maddow Show. Olbermann’s political forum tends to be one sides. He rarely has any guests from the opposing side and often uses strong language to promote his beliefs. One segment of the show is called “Today’s Worst Persons” where Olbermann provides three examples of conservatives doing or saying things that are in his opinion unjustified or morally wrong and rates them by worse, worser and worst. At the end of most of his shows, he provides a lengthy “special comment” in which he will directly voice his opinion on an important political issue. The Rachel Maddow show is a continuation of Countdown in that it is also a liberal political platform, but Rachel’s show tends to be more upbeat and humorous. The most noticeable difference between the two shows is that Maddow often has republican and conservative guests to debate her on popular political topics. Many of her debates with guests turn out to be extremely confrontational, providing other news shows entertaining video clips to air themselves in order to strengthen a specific message.

•	In the past few years, Fox News has become extremely controversial. It is widely known that they are in favor of conservative views and it is a popular republican political platform. However, what makes it controversial is that their slogan is “Fair and balanced”. Since President Obama was elected, all of their hosts and contributors have done everything in their power to make the president and his administration look unintelligent and weak on every single issue. There have been many claims of Fox News hosts blatantly lying about statistics, proposed policies of the current administration and even opposing opinions. There are some that suggest this is the reason why their ratings are high. Some of the hosts such as Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly will have guests on their shows from the opposing side that are not strong representatives and that are most likely unknown by the general public. This tactic is used to make the opposing side look weak to the viewers. Although Fox New’s methods are questionable by many, there is no doubt that they work to some extent due to the channel’s popularity.

There are news channels for both the liberal and conservative sides, however, these political platforms could be potentially dangerous to the general public. If the majority of American citizens are getting their news from biased news channels and it’s possible that any of them could be obstructing the truth, then people will be miss-informed. This is an important issue especially during elections. Due in part to these news shows, many people do not want to hear the other side. They want their favorite television host to tell them that their side is right and strong in numbers. Some people suggest that the biased message of Fox Bews is partially responsible for the new extremely conservative Tea Party. People have been pictured at Tea Party rallies with signs claiming that President Obama is a socialist and Hitler mustaches painted on Obama’s face. This sort of protesting is not productive and can set us back decades in terms of morality. While television provides great political platforms, Americans must be aware of possible biased information.

The democrats had the biggest majority in our nation’s history and even though they currently lost one seat in the Senate, they now have the second largest majority in history. Many people are scratching their heads asking why can’t they get anything done? Health care reform seemed to be the number one issue to democrats in both houses of congress during 2009, but they still were not able to get a bill to President Obama’s desk. Now the major task at hand seems to be job creation and they are currently having trouble with that as well as economic reform. Now that they lost the super majority of 60-40 in the Senate, the republicans can now filibuster any legislation that a democrat proposes. However, they did not have this excuse last year. Many democrats are now suggesting that their party uses reconciliation in order to get fellow democrat’s bills passed. Many in the liberal media are encouraging democrats to speak out more against the miss information that the republican party has been saying about all of their proposed legislation especially health care reform. However, some democrats are nervous of doing that because of the 2010 midterm elections that are coming up in November. Every democrat needs to make their message clear. They have the majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate because the majority of the American public voted for them. This means that most American citizens are in favor of their agenda, so they should act on that in order to make good strong policies that change the ways of our health care and economic systems.

If one democrat suggests reconciliation to get health care reform passed, why isn’t the rest of it’s supporters backing them up? Reconciliation would allow the bill to go through both the House of Representatives and the Senate without be subjected to a filibuster. Instead of needed 60 votes to be passed, it will only need 50. It is not clear on why the democrats are pushing for this. Some republicans claim that a bill passed by reconciliation is not a good idea because that means that it will be a bi-partisan bill. This claim does not make much sense, when they could easily contribute to the debate instead of just saying “no”. Every democrat should rally behind this idea if they really want health care reform for the country.

The public is growing weary of the lack of progress in both houses of congress. However, it is unfair to blame only democrats. The republican party must be held accountable and do their part in running the country as well. It is unfair to the American people for the republican party to say “no” to everything and then claim that it’s the democrat’s fault that nothing gets done because they have the majority. This situation has gone passed the point of politics as usual and now seems to be more like an argument between bullies on an elementary school playground. The democrats need to act now because our country needs change, like it was promised when Barack Obama was elected President of the United States.

The 2008 presidential race proved that both major political parties are more united than ever. Whether that is a positive or negative thing is unsure. However, it seems that one’s political party is more important than the individual elected officials themselves. The recent presidential race seemed to be more about loyalty to each political party than the actual messages that were being presented. The republican candidate John McCain chose to personally attack the democratic nominee Barack Obama numerous times. Many would argue that part of the reason Barack Obama was elected was because he choose to stay the coarse, not be distracted by the attacks and talk about important issues instead of involving himself with a back and forth. Because of the attacks and miss information, many republican supporters are now against anything that is proposed by a democrat. This might not be because of true disagreement, but it is instead due to political party loyalty.

•	There were many times during the 2008 presidential race when John McCain’s campaign would not only tell lies about Barack Obama, but he would make these lies about Obama’s personal life the centerpiece of his campaign message. The republican political party has a long history of doing this. At one point in the campaign, McCain’s political party ran television ads claiming that the church that Barack Obama used to attend had a reverend that seemed to be incredibly racist and against the United States government. There are many video clips of Reverend Jeremiah Wright talking about racist issues and suggesting anarchy. While Obama did attend the church and was most likely present during some of Wright’s speeches, the opposing political party exaggerated their relationship to make it seem like Barack Obama was in favor of the same messages. A similar situation occurred later in the race when the McCain campaign claimed that Barack Obama surrounded himself with terrorists, referring Bill Ayers. Mr. Ayers was part of a radical group in the 1960s that bombed several government buildings. In the mid-nineties, both Obama and Ayers worked together on a project that improved schools in Chicago and later in the decade they were both board members for a foundation that gave money to charitable causes. So instead of explaining what their actual relationship consisted of, the McCain campaign used the guilt by association method in order to make Obama look like an anarchist. Both political parties took a hit from these types of attacks. The democratic nominee would look bad right when the attacks were made due to the media’s coverage of the message and then the republican nominee would look weak once the truth came out and it was clear that there was lying or exaggerating going on.

Both political parties ran tough campaigns that challenged the opposing party. Many political parties use dishonest methods to run a campaign in an attempt to get ahead when facts, polls or statistics are not on their side. Some would claim that this is why John McCain lost. He was more interested in telling lies about Obama instead of talking about the economy which was going through the worst recession since the great depression at the time of the race. Political parties are sometimes known for this type of politics. For many, this is why politics they pay attention to politics. Whether you are for dishonest politics or not, most will agree that it does make political races entertaining.
