Although political debates have always involved political theater, it seems as though that’s all of today’s political debate consists of. The majority of the democratic party is trying to have an honest political debate about how to solve our nation’s problems, but the republican party would rather just say no and resort to name calling and point fingers instead. The health care political debate is one of the best examples of just how bi-partisan the republican party has become. There arguments have contained mostly lies and accusations about the democratic president’s intent. There have been many instances where President Obama has taken some of their ideas and used them in bills. This happened with health care and economic reform as well as legislation for job creation. Since going along with this would mean that they are siding with the president, they choose to attack the president on using their own ideas.
